Dave Dorman

Dave Dorman is an Eisner Award-winning artist whose upbringing as an Air Force brat has shaped his diverse artistic style. He studied at St. Mary's College and the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art before teaching himself oil painting, developing unorthodox techniques he now shares in Gnomon School of Visual Effects workshops.

Dave's first major break came in 1982 with a cover for Heavy Metal. He has since worked extensively on franchises including Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Alien, Predator, Batman, Spider-Man, Magic: The Gathering, World of Warcraft, King Kong, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter, as well as his own critically acclaimed project, The Wasted Lands.

All I can say about Dave is "WHOA!". I have always admired Dave's skills and technique, and to finally have a peek at how he does his magic is something every aspiring artist should be thankful for and should treasure for years to come.
